The group's principal activity is the provision of diversified telecommunications that are organized into three main segments: fixed line: primarily provided through pldt and its affiliate piltel, and subsidiaries clark telecom inc, subic telecom and maratel, which together account for less than 1% of total fixed lines in service. Wireless: it is provided through cellular service providers and satellite operators (mabuhay satellite, aces Philippines, and telesat). Information and communications technology: information and communications infrastructure and services for Internet applications, Internet protocol-based solutions and multimedia content delivery provided by epldt, Internet access services provided by epldt's subsidiary infocom and e-commerce, call centers and it-related services provided through other subsidiaries and affiliates of epldt. Fixed line accounted for 57% of 2002 revenues; wireless, 42% and information and communications technology, 1%.
